Manage business application development functions Including: business systems architecture, integration/interfaces, Commercial Off The Shelf and custom development, and production support Key internal customers - Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Purchasing, Engineering, Finance, and Sales organizations ERP COTS applications include QAD Mfg/Pro and interfaces to PeopleSoft, Siebel, Agile, and Authoria Mfg COTS applications include Freedom, Unicam, PickPro, Aegis, MIPSIS
Key applications within Unix and NT platforms Relational databases - Progress, Sql, and Oracle Web development environment - ASP.net, C#, Sql server Various customizations to COTS applications and various custom developed stand-alone applications Manage permanent and temporary staff Permanent staff of 11-- (2 systems architects), (6 systems analysts and developers) and (3 production support) Temporary staff of 11 -- contractors, consultants, and college co-ops (varies depending on project demand) Manage recruiting, career development, training, performance reviews, compensation, promotions Ensure adequate resource coverage and delivery to production support, work requests, and projects, and manage resource forecast, mobilization, and transition, recommending and implementing resource changes as business/technical needs dictate. Manage application architecture roadmap that driven from business process and technology improvements
Define and implement future path to add, upgrade, enhance, replace, eliminate, and consolidate applications, databases, and interfaces Manage 24x7 production support of business applications Analyze/implement root-cause fixes Drive support costs down Own customer satisfaction of production support Manage up front analysis, estimating, and delivery on-time, within budget, and meeting requirements for tasks supporting production support, work requests, and projects Manage relationships with application vendors and development resource suppliers Liaison between permanent / temporary staff and project management team that is responsible for delivery of work requests and projects on-time, within budget, and meeting requirements

Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelors degree Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years of experience managing an IS applications development team
