The Financial Information Services Agency (FISA) has a vacancy for two PeopleSoft Administrators to support ongoing production maintenance and phased rollout implementation of the HR and Benefits functions of PeopleSoft HRMS for the New York City Automated Personnel System (NYCAPS). This position will work closely with the Project Manager, Developers, Analyst, Testers and key business partners. This person will work in various teams, but will need to have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Under the direction of the NYCAPS Application Technology Team Manager;
The Primary Responsibilities include:
Setup or manage PeopleSoft environments:
· Install and configure PeopleSoft system on UNIX in a multi-server, load balanced HA environment
· Manage PIA, Tuxedo Application Server Domain, Web Logic and Process Schedulers.
· Ensure PS environment health by resolving issues from system and data dictionary audits
Environment Monitoring:
· Configure Application, Web and Batch server alerts and notifications
· Define thresholds for PeopleSoft environment using Veritas i3 and BMC Patrol
PeopleSoft upgrades Patches and fixes:
· Maintain system with up to date patches and fixes obtained from PS Customer Connection.
· Work with Database Administrator (DBA), UNIX System Administrator and application group to resolve technical issues.
· Thorough hands-on working knowledge with PeopleSoft Tools/HCM Upgrades, Change Asst, Upgrade Asst, Apps Designer, Data Mover, SQR, SQL, and STAT for change management and version control.
Server Admin tasks with Batch, Web and Application server:
· Plan and tune PeopleSoft Internet Architecture and report manager
· Provide support to Application development team with tuning and troubleshooting
· Troubleshoot server issues and monitor logs on a daily basis
· Assist with batch job setup and execution using File watcher and Job set techniques
· Provide support by troubleshooting and fine tuning performance issues related to entire PeopleSoft Batch and Application server environment.
STAT Change management and Version Control :
· Perform migrations of PeopleSoft objects using STAT.
· Create and develop workflows for new enhancements and functionality within STAT software.
· Create and administer new user roles and security within the STAT realm.
· Upgrade and maintain STAT tool
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years experience in setup and maintenance of PeopleSoft application
· At least 2 years of production environment support experience in HR/Benefits is a must
· Maintaining multiple Tools versions within a common server environment at each tier
· Experience with Setup and maintain proper functioning of PIA, Tuxedo, Web Logic, SQR, COBOL, Animator
· Configuring load balanced Web and App server environment with failover capability for HA
· Installing and managing Digital Certificates on Web Server and CSS
· Working knowledge of PS Integration Broker
· Working knowledge of PeopleSoft user security, roles and web profiles
· Experience in applying PeopleSoft application patches/fixes
· Implementing and maintaining STAT to migrate PS objects across numerous distributed environments
· Experience with at least one PeopleSoft upgrade including application and tools release
· Knowledge of performance and stress testing
· Thorough understanding of PeopleSoft system architecture and related 3rd party tools
· Working knowledge of UNIX operating system and shell scripts
· Basic understanding of data scrambling or masking concepts.
· Knowledge in Enterprise Report Management application Vista Plus would be added advantage
Preferred Qualifications:
· Working with an enterprise wide, large scale implementation
· Experience working with PeopleSoft Implementations in a government or civil service environment.
· Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required
· Experience working within a matrix environment
· Working knowledge of App Designer, PeopleCode and SQRs
Education:
Bachelor?s or Masters degree in a technical/business discipline or 2-4 years practical technical/business experience
