Job Description:
Mandatory Skills for Class I (Theoretical Team strength: One (1)
The proposed staff member must individually meet the following requirements:
· Minimum four (4) years experience working with MAPPER Programming
· Minimum four (4) years experience maintaining and creating mainframe data bases
· Minimum four (4) years experience in producing management reports
Deliverables for CLASSI
1. Maintaining MAPPER program for applications WeCARE, Back to Work, Fair Hearings, Participation Rate, Scheduling, and Payment and Claims system
· Programmer will be given a task to either update or develop a new routine for the applications mentioned. Using MAPPER, he/she will be required to program, document, and test coding before it is turned over to the user.
2. Create, Maintain, Data bases, residing on NYCWAY mainframe environment and NT Environment
· NYCWAY contains data records for Eligible Welfare clients. Using MAPPER, both manual and programming, he/she will be required to update, change, or delete records in the data base.
3. Produce Management reports based on user requests
· Once request is received, programmer is responsible to analyze the request, determine the approach to be used to develop the report. Work with users to design output and implement the request.
4. Create design specification for NYCWAY / Cool-Ice for integration with WeCARE WEB
· Initial analysis, data structures and application specifications required to initiate the coding, testing and implementation phases. The overall project plan is dependent on the on-time completion of these sub-projects for integration of all three sub-systems.
5. Lead efforts to gather and document user requirements, as necessary
· Create test cases based on user requirements, design specifications, and test functionality. Work closely with business analytical staff to coordinate testing and debugging. Review and document business requirements and create system specifications.
6. Create application page prototypes for inclusion in design specifications
