Job Description:
Windows NT or UNIX (4-6 years) 2003 Technical: -4-6 years experience maintaining and/or modifying complex local area networks (LANs), to ensure system availability and functionality. -Familiar with the principles of ensuring systems backups and systems availability scheduling. -Monitors network capacity and performance. -Makes recommendations concerning projected micro resource requirements, including personnel, software, equipment, security and facilities. -Directs performance tuning and technology refreshment. -Provide technical direction - Windows NT and server skills in the areas of NS, Domain architecture, DNS and Wins. -A very strong comprehension of TCP/IP as it relates to Windows NT. -Good experience with NT Server Hardware specifically with Compaq Server Hardware. -Experience in NT Systems Management tools, Virus management. -Technical leadership skills within a large NT Infrastructure. -Exposure to DRA valuable. -Responsibilities: Technical support for the on-going delivery of a 5000+ Microsoft NT Application Server based massaging infrastructure. -Monitoring, supervision and trouble reporting for North and Latin American Servers and Hubs & Microsoft NT application servers, fault diagnosis and isolation; and escalate problems/potential problems to proper support staff, vendors and clients; -Maintain and update procedures for Operations support of existing messaging environments, public folders. -Exposure to network (Cisco) and Unix/Internet infrastructures Non-Technical: -Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills are essential. -Able to work well with little direction and in a team atmosphere. -Ability to triage effectively under pressure. -Direct telephone interaction with business unit professional. -Demonstrated proficiency navigating through heterogeneous technologies is crucial. -Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, verbal, written.

Methodology/Certification: -Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science including advanced course work in technical systems + continued education in technical disciplines. -NT or UNIX certification preferred. -MSCE certification preferred. -CISCO certifications if required.
