Job Description: Client is seeking a System Administrator to collaborate with Development and Network Operations teams to assist in the development and maintenance of an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) platform. As part of the IVR team, this individual will: -Act as an integral member of the IVR technology team -Define operational requirements for the IVR platform -Interface and coordinate with vendors (both domestic and international) -Install, configure and maintain IVR infrastructure (servers, software, telecom and related supporting infrastructure) -Participate in a 24x7 NOC monitoring team. -Maintain and tune software development environments including Staging/QA/Integration/Development using a variety of custom and commercial tools. -Maintain network and operating system security through custom and commercial tools. -Author and maintain operational documentation
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Requirements: -A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required. A degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. -A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a system administrator in an IVR environment. -Proven ability to administer/manage/maintain/upgrade, at a high level of competency, a variety of technical platforms including: o RedHat Linux AS/ES or CentOS Operating System o Apache Web Server o JBoss/Tomcat Java Application Servers o Asterisk IVR System o Nagios/Cacti Monitoring Systems o IVR telephony infrastructure including communication protocols (e.g. SIP), hardware interface cards and telecom links. This candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work on cross-functional teams is required. This candidate will be articulate and be able to verbalize their thought process and justifications well. This candidate will have a track record of identifying creative and appropriate techniques and solutions.
This position may require up to 5% travel in North America and is based in San Francisco, CA.
