Job Description:
Major Telecom company seeks an experienced Web Developer for major long term project.

Web development:
Needs to be proficient in PHP 5.3 without use of frameworks, XHTML and/or HTML 5, basic Javascript and CSS. Ideally the candidate should be familiar with jQuery, cross-browser CSS, and UNIX. Experience with Subversion a plus.

Script & Hobbit development:
Needs to be proficient in Perl 5.x w/o strong dependence on CPAN or familiarity establishing local CPAN repository including resolving dependency and other compilation issues. Other required skills include comfort in mixed UNIX environments (Linux, Solaris, HP-UX), CRON, compilation of OSS projects from source. Ideally the candidate should have experience with Big Brother, Hobbit Monitor, or Xymon.

Oracle:
Needs to be proficient with Oracle SQL & PL/SQL programming. Good understanding of fundamental Oracle structures (tables, views etc.) is a must. Familiarity with shell/perl a plus.
Pluses exist for experience with the basic HTML, DBI.

Applicants must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
