Job Description:
The Security engineer should possess in depth knowledge of RACF, OS/390-ZOS, z/900, Endevor, DB2, MQSeries, Tivoli for OS/390, CICS, REXX (or similar/comparable) language and DB2 concepts to perform the duties described below.

3 Years

Requirements:
·Conduct and/or review studies of computer systems to assess and evaluate compliance with the administrative security procedures, internal control measures, and effectiveness of security safeguards on the systems, to resolve complex data security issues.
·Perform in depth analyses to identify, evaluate, and prepare reports or recommendations for new or improved goals, products and services controls or procedures.
·Provide technical assistance regarding security measures, safeguards, and requirements.
·Review and analyze audit trail (SMF data records) and /or security reports and identify and initiate investigations of security incidents.
·Troubleshoot and resolves users problems.
·Implement new security features on new systems and applications
·Review security changes on upgrade to hardware/software.
·Review security interfaces with various software products.
·Apply National Office Directives to local applications systems.
·Meet with oversight teams.
·Prepare monthly status reports for management.
·Document all procedures.
·Demonstrate all procedures to government personnel.
·Provide training necessary for the knowledge transfer process (i.e. creating training documents, writing technical manuals, and recommending formalized training programs).
·Share technical knowledge with IRS personnel.
·Perform other TIER I duties (including RACF Administration and maintenance/support to the DSAS system) as needed.
·Develop access matrix for an estimated 2000 dataset profile(s) against 800 group profile(s).
·Develop and document the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the access matrix.
·Work with MA&SS and MITS staff in the defining of ?best practice? critical files for the APF and LPA libraries.
·Work with MA&SS in the development and of ?Housekeeping? reports to ensure the integrity of the ?shared? RACF database environment.
·Understand Vanguard product which supports RACF administration.
