Job Description: Responsible for new and renewal business quoting, formal RFP submission, proposal generation, rate and benefit contract negotiations, open enrollment support, carrier notification, new business installation, post-open enrollment service on carrier transaction issues and internal record updating. Ongoing client service and assistance with all cases, claims research and resolution, carrier billing and invoice assurance, ancillary claims coordination, enrollment support, file documentation and issue resolution. Maybe required to travel as needed. No more than 10-15% throughout the year to attend client, carrier and corporate events.

Requirements: Understanding of employee benefit industry, compliance rules and regulations. Strong analytical skills, problem solving abilities, excellent communication and decision making skills. Demonstrated ability to acquire and perform progressively complex skills and learn negotiation tactics relating to insurance product pricing, underwriting factors and review/analysis of claims experience to benefit the client. Ability to manage time and assigned policies within clearly defined timeframes independently and as part of a skills team of account reps. Exhibit positive and proactive approach to working with teammates, brokers, management, insurance carriers and all clark and lavy clients and vendors. Ability to analyze, explain and summarize insurance benefit plan summaries, differences between contracts, quotes and underwriting requirements to various audiences. Clearly and succinctly explain claim resolution, ongoing service items, escalated issues and caseload status to management both written and verbally. Ability to calculate premiums from factors and rates proved by insurance carriers, analyze loss ratios, claims experience, specific and aggregate factor utilization, current cost and premium savings comparison analysis reports for client proposals.
Education and/or experience Minimum of two years experience in the insurance industry, health insurance customer service/claims, benefit administration, employee benefit sales or service. Active life and health insurance license or ability to obtain within three months of hire. Strong PC skills and Microsoft applications knowledge and ability to navigate network, carrier, website and database systems.
