Job Description: Direct and manage competitive, market and company product and price performance research for use in deciding this company?s personal lines product and price mix. Make recommendations for revenue growth and profit opportunities based on research and analysis. Direct and manage personal lines product design and pricing efforts with input from p/l underwriting, claims and actuarial.. Monitor effectiveness of underwriting strategy and risk management controls, including reinsurance programs and capacity. Work directly with corporate communications to help devise and implement personal lines product promotion programs for agents and customers. Work directly with corporate sales and marketing to manage the performance of independent agents, including devising agent compensation programs aligned with their underwriting, product and pricing strategies. Recommend revenue and profit forecasts for business planning purposes in terms of exposures, premium, new business, renewals and retention. Monitor revenue and profit performance against objectives; perform variance analyses to explain deviations in performance against plan.

Requirements: Bachelors Degree. Intimate working knowledge of Personal Lines Property and Casualty insurance industry, including pricing, product, underwriting practices and competitive analysis. Familiarity with insurance modeling. In depth experience developing, leading and managing a team of highly qualified and creative analysts whose mission is to ensure a competitive, profitable Personal Lines Property and Casualty product mix.
