Job Description: In this role you will develop and execute on regional homeowners business and strategic plan. Work with Analytics and Underwriting teams to identify new rate structures and products designed to maximize profitability. Also work with Research team in development of recommendations from multivariate pricing analysis and predictive modeling work and with Cat Management and Underwriting teams to identify new risk mitigation options and procedures from rate, product offering and underwriting perspectives, designed to manage risk and maximize profitability. Design, review and approve indication methodology and inputs thereto and design elasticity models to estimate retention and conversion rates for planning and strategic discussions. Develop multiple views of profitability to enhance rate need discussions, considering rates of return, capital allocation, state growth and profit objectives as well as regulatory issues. Present state specific results and recommendations to senior management. Meet with DOI to discuss pricing and product implementation. Complete reviews of endorsement pricing, deductible pricing, AOI curve and other reviews to support profitability targets at the state level. Manage a small staff of actuarial students and business analysts. They are looking for someone with an actuarial background with exams.

Requirements: Broad understanding of the Homeowners lines of business including rate indications, pricing, and coverage, including an understanding of geographic and regulatory issues/concerns At least 5 years of insurance experience, preferably in a Product Management or Pricing role consistent with a CAS designation or similar Excellent negotiation, analytical and organizational skills with the ability to balance the strategic and the tactical Ability to work on "the next thing" without specific direction Effective communication skills and decision making Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Science or Engineering
