Job Description: Director of Retail Sales will report to VP of Retail Sales and represent one brand name to major retail grocery channels, brokers, and food distributor networks. Develop strategic sales plans to increase sales with existing and new retailers, brokers, and distributors. Analyze and prepare data reports and market potential using services such as IRI and AC Nielsen. You will be responsible for building sales thru brand building, developing the strategic plan, and executing the plan in the field. Key responsibility will be building sales relationships with large retail chains, brokers and distributors in the Northern Midwest and Midwest.
Chosen candidate can reside in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, etc.
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Requirements: 4-year degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience and success representing a Consumer Goods Brand to retail, brokers, and distributors. Highly prefer sales experience with food brands. Ability to travel 60% of the time. Ability to work out of a home office 1-2 days a week. Strong working knowledge of data systems such as IRI and AC Nielsen. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Strong computer skills with Excel, MS office, and Power point.
