Job Description: Clinical Systems Analyst required to work with the full life cycle of software development and support excluding program development. Key areas of responsibilities will include:
Understand the role and impact of clinical information systems required in support of long term care delivery.
Work with clinical customers to identify, develop, support and implement clinical based solutions that will optimize patient care.
Understand federal and state regulations in order to provide system compliance. Facilitate the requirements gathering and work flow analysis.
Participate in quality assurance testing of new software releases.
Provide analyst level support for new software selection, configuration, and analytical production issues.
Function as the liaison between the vendor, customers and internal/external development areas.
Drive the process required to meet business customer requests, government regulations or to build interfaces with other systems.
Become the system expert, focusing on clinical functionality. Participate on interdisciplinary project teams.
Provide demonstrations of software applications to clinical customers.
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Requirements: Required: -College diploma or university degree in the field of nursing, computer science, or management information systems.
-Two plus years experience in an acute care or long-term care setting
-Ability to gather requirements.
-Ability to document business requirements, work flow, quality assurance scenarios/use cases and turnover documents.
-Skilled in use of industry standard software/tools, e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Visio.
-Successful track record working on software installation and conversion.
-Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Demonstrable skills developing functional requirements.
-Have the ability to work to established deadlines.
-Previous experience supporting healthcare clinical and patient care systems.
-Project management skills.
Occasional travel required.
