Job Description: The Software Engineer is responsible for the creation, implementation, maintenance, performance, production support and documentation of various web-based systems. This can include package (COTS) installation, modification, and testing of new and/or upgraded applications (packages or home grown), operating systems, file structures, hardware, communication devices, and productivity tools. The Software Engineer applies analysis techniques and procedures to gather and then translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications and designs and then produces all or part of the deliverables. The Software Engineer will write code, meet with clients to gather requirements, work within and adhere to scheduled timelines and development methodologies, participate in peer code reviews, author documentation and conduct formal testing. Work assignments range from routine maintenance and support to design and development for new projects to participating in the definition of strategic directions for technology initiatives.

Full time salary to 75k depending on experience
Key skills are C# and SQL Server 2005 or higher
Candidates local to Baltimore, MD only are considered Must be US Citizen or have green card
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Requirements: Required: -Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. -Five yrs exp. in software development with Microsoft technologies -Will participate in each phase of the SDLC including analysis and gathering of requirements, development of specs and systems that, result from the specs, develop test plans and test systems, participate in system implementation. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to interact effectively with functional and technical people
Technical requirements: -Microsoft SQL Server (including T-SQL and DTS) -Visual Basic, VB.NET or C#, Active Server Pages (ASP)/ASP.NET, COM/COM+, XML/XSL
Preferred: -Report development experience with SQL Reporting Services -Java, PHP, or other web technologies.
