Job Description:
Duties will include: ensuring accurate and timely recording of information input into the financial systems and ensure that financial transactions are executed in accordance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, SOX, and company policies. The Analyst will perform revenue recognition, prepare and review accruals and prepare journal vouchers. The selected candidate will monitor timecards and labor charging and review labor adjustments, suspense reconciliation and perform financial administration, financial analysis, and cost accounting along with other duties as assigned. Some travel will be required. This position will have the opportunity to grow within the organization.
2+ years of accounting/financial analysis experience is required. Candidates must have thorough knowledge of GAAP, CAS, FAR, and SOX. Candidates must have strong spreadsheet skills and must be detail oriented with the desire to expand knowledge and add value to the organization. The selected candidate must possess the ability to work with all levels of personnel and be able to work successfully in a team environment. The selected candidate must also have strong analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience with the clients financial systems including sales analysis and performance analysis, SAP, Brio/Hyperion, and Costpoint are highly desired.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required. CPA/CMA/MBA candidate is highly desired. 4+ years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
