As a Senior Design Engineer, you will have the chief responsibility for new product development. You'll be key in designing and developing new components for the cabinet portion of the product, which includes structural, visual, food storage and packaging functions. Your responsibilities will be challenging. Your level of empowerment high. Your role within the company critical. Specific responsibilities include:
- Engineer cabinet components to improve overall design concepts following regulatory standards and input from industrial designers, using sound engineering principles.
- Evaluate design alternatives based on cost, quality and production feasibility.
- Coordinate project work starting at industrial design conception through production implementation.
- Work with suppliers to optimize designs for production and interact with designers to document designs.
- Establish test procedures to prove design concepts.
- Document design changes, providing required information to all departments.
- Interact with manufacturing, quality, and line personnel to implement new designs into production.

- Four-year engineering degree required, BSME preferred.
- Five to ten years experience in related field/manufacturing environment.
-Experience with design and production of consumer goods preferred.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and injection molding.
- Experience with formulating design alternatives to achieve desired industrial design concepts.
- Experience with SolidWorks a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication and decision making skills.
