Job Description:
Job Title: Senior Data Quality Analyst
Our Client is looking to build its Data Quality area. Initially, the Data Quality Analyst will be working closely with our Data Warehouse Architect and integration team on an existing Data Warehouse implementation project. The primary focus will be to start defining and documenting methodologies and procedures and to identify issues with source system datasets to improve the quality of data landing into the new Data Warehouse.
Required Education:BA/BS required
Required Years of Experience: 3+ years in a Data Quality Analyst role 1+ years experience with Data Quality tools, preferably the Informatica tool suite.
Required Technical/ Functional Skills:
Experience in establishing methodologies and procedures based on industry best practices
Experience developing and implementing data quality metrics and thresholds
Knowledge of data modeling concepts and techniques
Experience in logical and physical DB design
Strong communication skills including effective verbal, logical and clear written, and graphical communications.
Proven problem solving capabilities. The ability to document in a clear and concise manner and to multi-task and meet established deadlines. The ability to work well within a team and with end users at multiple levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Primary Job Functions
Use query techniques and available tools to identify, analyze, and prioritize data processing and data quality issues
Summarize findings, formulate issue resolution recommendations/alternatives, and present to appropriate business and IT groups
Work closely with the Data Warehouse Architect and users to identify source systems and develop mappings and quality plans for ETL development.
Use experience to define and implement a data quality strategy, including:
Defining and maintaining data quality methodologies and standard so documenting, developing and monitoring data quality goals based on the standard. Working with the business to identify data owners, issue resolution techniques, and enforcement. Develop a thorough understanding of data flows thru various systems in order to identify potential data timeliness, integrity, and quality issues.
