Job Description:

As a Senior Sourcing Specialist, you will be a member of the Strategic Sourcing Team working closely with New Product Development Teams, Managers, and Engineers to maximize the effectiveness, compliance and day-to-day management of suppliers that support NPI initiatives. Your responsibilities will be challenging. Your level of empowerment high. Your role within the company critical. Specific responsibilities include:

- Identify and select low total cost suppliers – Alignment to commodity strategy
- Work with R&D to develop supply chains on emerging technologies
- Facilitate NPD Procurement processes
- Ensure smooth hand off from NPD (after ISIR) to on going production.
- Lead and Manage commodity strategies
- Identify, assess, and select suppliers that Support Strategic initiatives ( Value Streams)
- Facilitate Supplier certification process – supplier accountability and recognition.
- Understand Market - ensure competitive piece price.
- Manage annual purchase agreements.
- Utilize total cost analysis when evaluating supply chain options.
- Actively participate in process improvement (both internal and external).
- Lead Annual Material Cost reduction initiatives.

In this position, you will need the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - Engineering Degree preferred.
- Seven to Ten years of Procurement experience, Three to Four in New Product Development.
- Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Documented procurement experience with electronic and mechanical components
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Successfully track and record effective communications across internal functional groups.
- Experience in leading multiple projects and demonstrated Project Management Skills meeting deadlines and working across functional teams.
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
- Highly developed computer/system skills - must have strong data analysis skills.
