The Developer is a Business Intelligence expert with understanding of business applications & processes. The key focus of this role is Business objects universe, report creation and report analysis. An ideal candidate possesses Data Warehousing knowledge including star schema design. Candidate is required to build Meta Data Views (Universes) for specific business needs and subject areas, as well as develop reports.
Candidate should be fluent in SQL, PL SQL and should have worked with a variety of data sources such as RDBMS and OLAP. Candidate will be required to write APIs and Macros when necessary.
Responsibilities-
* Build, Maintain and Support Business Objects universes
* Build, Maintain and Support Reports in Web Intelligence & Crystal and Xcelsius with BO XI skills preferred
* Develop a strategy for universes, reports and dashboards for the needs of the business
* Evaluate alternative solutions and translate solutions into development or maintenance
* Assist in the identification, planning, implementation, and support of BI Initiatives and mission critical analyses
* Establish and maintain effective communication with team leads
* Superior knowledge of all phases of system development life cycle, rapid application development methodology preferred
* Leverage process, technology and best in class solutions
Skills Technical Skills-
* Must be able to develop and maintain universe(s) and reports using Business Objects XI Platform tools.
* Must be able to write SQL, PL SQL statements, stored procedures and functions as well as macros and APIs
* Candidate must have 5+ yrs experience in Universe Designer, Web Intelligence, Crystal, OLAP Intelligence (Voyager) and Performance Management (Dashboard and Performance Manager)
* Xcelsius with BO XI skills preferred
