Job Description: Software company is searching for a product manager to work with customers and partners and internal groups (Sales, Sale Support, R&D, Business Development, Marketing, Solution Delivery Organization and Management). The PM will be measured by how effectively R&D priorities match the field/company priorities and how accurately the field understands the product delivery timeline. In addition the PM will be measured by how successful the solution in streamlining and scaling our sales process. Responsibilities: Ø Helping develop an overall SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats), to enable the client to decide where to focus: new products, new platforms, and new features.
Ø Understanding the needs and deciding the best way to address them; positioning the product, creating a process to make the product address customer need, or developing a feature so the product would address the need.
Ø Keeping an accurate map of customers, prospects and partners needs. Both at a global and individual level. This will be done by soliciting input from Sales, SE, SDO, Customers, BD, partners, R&D and Marketing.
Ø Communicating roadmap per customer, and working with reps and customers to prioritize needs
Ø Articulate product ability, value and features to customers, make sure they understand how the product addresses their needs and defines gaps, if they exist.
Ø Articulate the customer?s needs in terms of product features, communicate with R&D and make sure the implementation design addresses the market need
This relates to our sales teams in North America and Europe. Requirements: · 6+ years of product management in enterprise software, selling to Fortune 500 companies.
· Expertise in APM (Application performance management) is preferable.
· Understanding of software performance fundamentals.
· Experience in working with direct sales force, helping identify short term customer plans as well as long term projects.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external functions
· Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
· Strong market and competitive research skills
· Team player, good communication skills, versatile
· Ability to frequently travel as required by this position- a must (25-30%)
