Job Description:
Put your technical leadership skills to work in GPS related projects.
The Project Engineer is responsible for meeting technical, budget and schedule targets for all assigned projects. This challenging position includes: organizing the project team, developing tasks, generating the project schedule, providing written reports and monthly program status reviews, coordination of project task direction and completion with Engineering Team. Operations staff and the appropriate Program Managers, coordination of project as required Estimates to Complete (ETC), providing proposal development support and coordination with project customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
The chosen candidate will provide technical leadership for one or more GPS related projects and be responsible for meeting technical, budget and schedule targets for all assigned projects. Organize the project team, developing tasks, and generating the project schedule. Provide written reports and monthly program status reviews. Coordinate project task direction and completion with Engineer Team, Operations staff and the appropriate Program Managers. Coordinate cost tracking and management, project Estimates to Complete (ETC), providing proposal development support and coordination with project customers to ensure customer satisfaction
***Must hold security clearance or be clearable. Government projects***
Experience Level:
5+ Years
Requirements:
*BSEE / MSEE Preferred (MBA a plus)
*7 to 10 years experience working in an Engineering Development Environment in a Project Lead position.
*PMP Certification a plus.
*Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance is required. *Experience that includes Project Management and/or Systems Engineering is a plus.
*Knowledge of Project management principles and techniques.
*Technical knowledge of GPS System and their application.
*Detailed understanding of Engineering development processes. *Understanding of getting an Engineering design into production. *Excellent verbal and communication skills.
*Excellent planning skills.
*Good organization skills.
*Ability to anticipate and solve project issues.
