Job Description: Has the ability to lead in the preparation and conduct of Quality Control (QC) testing of new or modified applications/systems across multiple computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server). Has the ability to create or revise QC processes and procedures.
Experience Level: 3 Years
Requirements: May act as project leader. Has the ability to create, modify, and apply the QC methodology throughout the project life cycle, to assist and support the design, development and implementation of business applications. Possess extensive insurance knowledge with specialty insurance as a plus. Provides guidance in the creation of standard test environments, test plans and test scripts. Prepares and conducts acceptance testing of new or modified applications/systems. Analyzes, designs new or modified Quality Control (QC) procedures and standards and assists in the development and implementation of QC metrics for assessing the quality of delivered application software. Experience with Mercury automated testing tools and procedures a plus but not required. Participates in the review of software releases with the IT staff and business partners in resolving questions during the testing process. Can identify specific test conditions derived from the business requirements. Is detail-oriented with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines. Needs to be flexible. Establishes a positive relationship with IT staff and business partners. Must be pro-active with issue identification and resolution. Will be involved in providing assistance and training to other analysts. Understands the process that is required to deliver software via change and release management. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
