Reference Number: MED10911203 Job Description: Senior Systems Programmer Analyst Senior Monitoring / Alerting Specialist Successful job candidate must have extensive practical experience with the Compuware Vantage tool suite. This person will architect and implement performance and end to end operations monitoring, automated event correlation analysis, and incident drill down diagnosis in a complex IT operations environment ¡V i.e., N-tier, web application emphasis. Need to institute proactive environment management. Organization is adopting services orientation and business activity monitoring. Experience Level: Unspecified Requirements: JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience in major monitoring tool architecture, deployment, and?« maintenance within multi-vendor tool suites environment complying with published SLA¡¦s. Practical experience in working with application?« & infrastructure teams to define / interpret monitoring /alerting requirements for managing end user experience, fault isolation, and proactive environment health management analysis and reporting. Requires practical knowledge of?« transaction and web infrastructure (web services, trend analysis, etc.) monitoring including scripting synthetic transactions, defining meaningful metrics, and taking appropriate corrective action. Lead in evaluating,?« recommending, and implementing monitoring tools, standards, and processes. Must have pr oven understanding of underlying technologies ¡V i.e.,?« operating systems (z/OS, UNIX, Linux, and Windows), networks, and databases. Prefer but do not require systems engineering experience . Actively?« mentor technical skill development within ESM team. Effective?« communication skills with all internal personnel and in appropriately engaging vendor resources. Expected to participate in on-call rotation. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: BS in Computer Science or?« related engineering / IT technology Minimum of 5 ¡V 7 years of related?« experience
