Job Summary
Provides comprehensive consultation to client unit and Data Processing management and staffs at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle. Provides highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies, which assist the functional client units in meeting their strategic objectives. Acts as expert technical resource to development staff and management in all phases of the development and implementation process. Prepares business requirements reports, recommendations, feasibility studies and cost justification statements. ADA Required Physical/Mental Abilities: Use written sources of information, e.g., read reports, procedural documentation, reference materials. Use non-verbal visual sources of information, e.g., graphs, tables. Use verbal auditory sources of information, e.g., interviews, group meetings. Use oral communication to perform work, e.g., answer telephones, and receive visitors. Digital dexterity, e.g., using computer keyboard. Making general decisions in the absence of specific directions, e.g., prioritizing workload.
Perform activities requiring sustained concentration, e.g., designing, planning work. Other physical/mental requirements of the job, i.e., travel, driving, attendance.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Preferred experience implementing SAP R/3 and BI solutions by adhering to SAP?s standards and methodologies. Knowledge with any of the following would be a plus:
Data warehousing - SAP preferred.
Maintenance of data extracts and loads
Performance tuning for queries, data loads and data access to optimize efficiencies o Application testing of periodic vendor supplied maintenance packages o Production support including on call rotation

Debugging and programming skills
Informatica, Unix, Maestro, UDB knowledge a plus.
Background: College degree with major in Math, Finance, or Computer Science
8+ years experience, with life insurance background preferred
