Job Description: Job Title: STP ePolicy and Imaging IT Test Manager
Lead and manage a matrix team of IT testers on a strategic project being responsible for the day-to-day execution, management, and reporting of the testing components, including managing resources, costs, scope and meeting deadlines according to plan.
Roles and Responsibilities: Creates and maintains the project management and control deliverables for the test component of the project activity. (if required): the project plan, ops plan, risk management plan, communication plan, time lines, and budget
Responsible for the following: (1) Unit Test plan creation, execution and signoff, (2) Integrated Unit Test plan creation and execution and signoff, (3) Project contact to Enterprise Performance Test Team, (4) Security Testing, and (5) IT contact for business testing support.
Manage the creation of test environments, test data, IDs, and coordinate all test activities. Integrates working with the project manager, the project management deliverables for the test component of the project activity into the overall project management deliverables for the project. Monitors scope and requirements changes, assesses the impact on the test management deliverables and adjusts the test management deliverables and the test oriented project management deliverables to deal with the change Manage testers, automated testers and test coordinators assigned to work on the project. Mentor junior tester/analysts as appropriate during a project. Accountable for the testing quality from start to finish, which includes editing and maintaining test strategies, transformation of test strategies into test plans, execution of test plans, and the evaluation of test results. Prepare and maintains the master test plan and continuously provide strategic improvement of test management standards and procedures. Plan, organize, direct and execute the test process and manage test releases. Define, prepare, monitor and adjust test-level plans and manage scope changes. Advise on and support the application of test techniques Delegate test activities and monitor compliancy with and applicability of test standards Delegate to others the authority to lead specific functions of the project on a daily basis while maintaining full execution accountability. Detect test automation needs and improvement possibilities, and assist in test tool selection/implementation projects Ensure all governance mandated deliverables are created, processes are followed, relevant standards are integrated and all required signoffs and authorizations are obtained as defined in the Quality Plan. Creates documentation of the functional and non-functional requirements for specific components. Participates in the review of requirements definition deliverables looking gaps in the requirements from a testing perspective and for traceability and transformability of the requirements into test strategy, test plans and test cases Work closely with the IT team and Business Users to support the development of test cases in conjunction with testing level requirements
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Requirements: Required skills: Proven experience as a Test Manager for large programs Proven experience with leading a matrixed test team including individuals on enterprise wide systems College Degree or related job experience 5 - 7 years experience as a Test Manager or its equivalent in education and experience Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Strong Project Management skills including estimating, planning and prioritizing within project scope Strong computer skills, especially in Quality Center, MS Office Suite of products, and Automated Testing tools. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Experience with document imaging and workflow preferred Knowledge of industry practices a plus Experience working with external vendors
