* Looking for someone with some painter experience, but not at the senior level
* Would be helpful to have someone with auto body/painting experience; paint finish on autos is closer to our product but not looking for house painting experience
* Need to be familiar with sprayers and paint booth systems
* Ability to read drawings/blueprints
The Painter will be responsible for applying protective and/or decorative prime and finish paint coatings with a high focus on quality.
> Ability to determine areas of parts, assemblies, equipment and/or products to be painted and type and color of paint or other material to apply in accordance with prints, sketches, written/verbal instructions, procedures, and military/ commercial specifications.
> Knowledgeable in and able to perform all surface preparation including body filling, glazing, sanding, cleaning and masking surfaces.
> Able to set up, adjust and operate automatic paint spraying equipment and drying ovens maintaining thickness of coating in conformance with specifications.
> Perform spray booth painting on a large variety of assemblies typically in small batch lots.
> In addition to mixing and applying various types of primers and paints the candidate will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all paint equipment, spray booth, air systems, and rail system.
> 2 ? 5 years of experience with a high school diploma
> Knowledge, skills and abilities:
o Paint materials and characteristics.
o Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, and drawings/specifications.
o Shop math including ability to perform weight/volume ratios.
o Ability to use basic linear measuring tools.
o Ability to operate paint equipment such as Electrostatic and HVLP spray guns.
o Ability to prioritize and independently complete assigned tasks.
o Ability to work well with others
