Send resume to : RHARPER@GLOBALAMS.US Key Skills and Competencies: 1. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with minimum 3 years of Oil & gas engineering experience. 2. Experience with the mechanical design, manufacturing, and application of various types of valves, especially ball valves. 3. Proficient with PC software, specifically AutoCAD (tm) 2009, email, word processing, Excel (tm) spreadsheets, data base applications, project management, etc. 4. Familiar with codes & standards e.g. API 6D, ASME and ASTM. 5. Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings, engineering concepts and valve design. 6. Ability to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously with the capacity to work under immense pressure coupled with the ability to plan and perform work with minimal direction and supervision. 7. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 8. Excellent written and oral communication skills (English). Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 1. Assist with the redesigning of various valve types for cost effectiveness and improved performance. 2. Maintenance of engineering integrity of, and design modification to, assigned projects. 3. Ability to analyze engineering drawings, specifications and related data. 4. Use AutoCAD to view, edit, and create drawings of valves and related parts. 5. Coordinates and supports project personnel for specific phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, valve design, preparation of specifications and technical plans and valve testing. 6. Reviews valve design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, industry standards, customer requirements and related specifications. 7. Develop analysis parameters for data. 8. Prepares interim and completion project reports. 9. Review calculations required on new and existing valves for performance data. 10. Review engineering production support to machining, assembly, and other departments. 11. Interface with various departments on purchased items, resolving customer problems, and highly technical valve applications.
