We currently seek a high caliber Superintendent for a contract hire posting within our client?s team of experienced professionals/to work on a contract basis.
Based in Wilmington DE, you will be working for one of the world?s leading engineering, procurement & construction companies.
Job Description:
- Under General Supervision, this position reports to a maintenance or operations management position. This level is responsible for coordination the effective executive of all maintenance and opera.tions support activities for a medium to large maintenance contract and/or Small Capital project.
- Directly supervises maintenance supervisors and other project personnel as required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contributes to project effectiveness by assisting with the interpretation of engineering drawings, work orders, specifications and manufacturer's technical data materials.
- Leads root-cause failure analysis teams by investigating and implementing countermeasures.
- Improves service results by developig and implementing work process improvements in assigned area of responsibility.
- Maintains work flow by approving completion process and stores requisitions for materials.
- Makes sure work is carried out in an efficient manner by coordinating daily work schedules with the customer's operations, including personnel deployment, materials coordination and information availability.
- As directed by O&M manager, fulfills contract and OSR/OSIP requirements by ensuring that the duties and responsibilities of the project contract are clearly defined, documented and followed by the client team.
- Maintains staff by supervising and motivating craft, foreman, general foreman and supervisors with skills focused in the installation, repair, preventive and predictive maintenance, removal, operation or adjustment of equipment or components in accordance with project procedure requirements and specifications.
- Maintains a safe work environment by administering a proactive environmental, health and safety program oriented towards maintenance activities and zero accidents.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Typically non-degreed with 15 plus years craft experience.
