Job Description:
We currently seek a high caliber Process Mechanical Design/Engineer for a Contract hire posting within our client?s team of experienced professionals/to work on a contract basis.

Based in West Virginia, you will be working for one of the world?s leading engineering, procurement & construction companies.

Job Description:
? The Process Mechanical Design / Engineer is responsible for developing an Engineering / Procurement / Construction (EPC) project from the client?s conceptual scope of work as direction by site management in accordance with the requirements and work processes of the contract between the company, the client and the company?s operating policies and principles. The engineer will deliver the phased project packages in an appropriate documented format for review, approval, field installation and/or sub-contracting out. The engineer will work with other disciplined engineers, project engineers and estimator as need to deliver the final product.
? Assist in the development of the project scope of facilities and services, and design execution strategy with the lead project engineer.
? Develop and or input to into Problem Opportunity Statements (PoST) submittals.
? Develop detail scopes of work based on conceptual scope descriptions.
? Develop Front End Engineering and develop Design Bases as appropriate.
? Perform studies as necessary.
? Perform engineering calculations as appropriate.
? Develop engineering and design to produce drawings, data sheets, lists, diagrams, sketches etc. required for construction, permanent plant documentation and to maintain the integrity of the design.
? Provide engineering/design specifications and standards as needed.
? Provide engineering and design per national and local codes, and client?s requirements.
? Have the capability to read, understand and generate mechanical drawings as required.
? Have the capability to read, understand and develop process flow diagrams.
? Develop engineering/design staffing plans and coordinate personnel as needed to meet safety, cost, quality and schedule objectives.
? Provide input to project schedules and estimates.
? Provides the technical and justification data needed for a Capital Appropriation Request (CAR)
? With assistance for the lead project engineer plans and monitors personal workload.
? Assist in the development and monitoring of engineering/design budgets.
? Works with project engineers to define the minimum level of deliverables required for a given piece of work tailored for on-site construction and or subcontracted labor.
? Develop technical RFQ?s for purchasing and provide technical bid tabulation.
? Squad checks vendor information as required.
? Provide for intra-discipline checking and participate in inter-discipline checking.
? Coordinates and verify design accuracy/quality for work share with office?s or 3rd party engineering etc.
? Supervision of other engineers/designers as necessary.
? Provide Engineering Information (EI) packages with content to match bidding and construction needs.
? Works with the Construction Supervisor and contractor in the development and coordination of a constructability review.
? Provide construction support through the project engineer.
? Verify installations in the field to assure quality.
? Provide field design as appropriate; field sketches, annotated photographs etc.
? Participates and coordinates as appropriate design reviews and EI reviews.
? Develops subcontract scopes of work as necessary.
? Assist in the management of subcontractor work as required.
