Our very important client is a leading Balance of Plant Contractor for Wind Energy projects based in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Through each process of the complete services provided by their organization, they maintain and set the industry standards for professionalism and integrity. This client is seeking a SITE MANAGER.
SITE MANAGER / SUPERINTENDENT
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Minimum of 5 years to 10 years (prefer 10 to 20 years) experience as a ?Stand Alone? Superintendent with project size from $5 million to over $35 million.
· Experience must include heavy civil or electrical projects, preferably multi-disciplined/complicated wind power projects.
· Experience in highway, road, drainage and large commercial/industrial foundation and/or high voltage utility work
· Experience in organizing, directing, and leading all civil aspects (road, drainage and foundations) of wind farm projects preferred.
· Experience in stormwater and erosion control.
· Experience with conceptual estimating for budgeting of projects.
· Demonstrated understanding of plans and specifications for civil and electrical work.
· Experience with computers preferably with knowledge of MS Office and MS Project.
· Experience with union and open shop site construction.
· Working knowledge of OSHA requirements.
· Must possess a valid drivers license.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Job description consists of coordinating work at the project site, including subcontractors, vendors, and work for wind energy projects.
· Supervise jobsite superintendents and the construction of roads, foundations, high voltage electrical works, substations and wind turbine erection at the project site.
· Work with estimator and project manager regarding subcontracts, project scheduling, change orders and maintaining cost of project within the budget.
· Superintendent is the primary contact with subcontractors in the field and must communicate effectively and responsibly.
· Responsible for reviewing and inspecting specifications and drawings and communicating any issues and discrepancies to the appropriate party.
· Candidate must be able to prioritize work in order to meet project goals including deadlines, cost targets and project schedules.
· Responsible for reviewing and maintaining project records.
· The successful candidate is a team player with effective written and oral communication skills.
· Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs at the jobsite.
· Must be able to represent this firm professionally with subcontractors, owners, and local officials.
· Must be willing to travel frequently and/or relocate to jobsites in multiple states every 6-12 months.
