Job Description:
The Market Data group is responsible for engineering and developing market data technologies employed at the firm. The team?s goal is to provide a reliable market data infrastructure that can be easily operated by Technical Operations staff and used by developers at a minimum total cost.
Position Description
The new hire will be a senior member of the Market Data development team, and will play a key role in facilitating the integration of market data technologies within the firm. He/She will also be involved in the design and development of market data services that will be used among the various business units in the firm.

Requirements:
The candidate must have 6-10 years of experience with the design and implementation of large-scale market data systems. The position will involve working closely with senior technologists from the Development, Engineering and Operations communities.
Technical Requirements
Essential:
?
? Expert knowledge of market data platforms (Triarch, TIB and RMDS)
? Complete understanding of the Market Data APIs (Reuters SFC and RFA)
? Demonstrates key experience with large-scale market data systems?
? Solid understanding of Network and OS fundamentals
? Experience in JAVA or C++ programming
? Experience in object-oriented analysis, design and programming.
? Understanding of the software deployment process, with preferable
experience in high-volume environments.
? Ability to plan, prioritize, communicate and perform all tasks in a team environment.
? Good working knowledge of UNIX, including Linux and Solaris.
Desirable:
? Experience with messaging middleware (such as TIBCO Rendezvous)
? Experience in building large scale distributed applications.
? Experience with building Multithreading applications
