Job Description:
Work Location: Our IT team works partly at our client sites and the remainder at a local STS office.
Travel: Staff will be required to travel at least once a month. The average onsite engagement is a week in duration.
Skills: Seeking a high-energy, motivated individual who combines strong program management skills with business acumen and proactive leadership for the position of Technology Project Manager. The STS Life Sciences PMO provides project management, portfolio management and business analysis services for STS Life Sciences clients. This position serves a key role responsible for planning and implementing technology projects for all client and internal initiatives. These projects vary in size from the large, high visibility, and cross-functional in nature.
? Provide project leadership, work direction and feedback to the project leads, project managers and teams.
? Oversight and monitoring progress on complex and/or multiple projects relative to schedules, budgets and quality.
? Serve as the project issue escalation point and primary contact for technology initiatives.
? Facilitate solutions to complex problems and managing difficult process improvements.
? Negotiate and resolve conflicting change requests and changing priorities across customers/projects.
? Communicate and reporting status to executives, customers, and all other relevant individuals and groups.
? Conduct project assessments at a program level.
? Develop or assist in developing business cases.
? Coaching and training others on project management skills and methodologies (PM Best Practices).
Experience Level:
5+ Years
Requirements:
? Four-year undergraduate degree in computer science, or related field
? Five-plus years related experience, including at least three years of project/program management experience with implementation of large scale, cross-functional projects in a technology environment
? Demonstrated achievements in planning, directing and implementing complex technology projects on time, within budget and with desired functionality
? Ability to be broadly focused and manage multiple efforts concurrently
? Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization; including internal staff, client business stakeholders, and all levels of client management
? Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with Executive audiences
? Strong conflict resolution, negotiating and influencing skills
? Ability to work in fast-paced, changing, and ambiguous environments
