Descriptions: - Standard Job Description Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. - Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. - Specific Job Description Perform mechanical engineering analysis, component and subassembly design, integration, testing, structures, mechanisms, hydraulics, and lifting devices. - Experience with unmanned underwater vehicles desired. - May be required to lead small team of engineers. - Other desired skills include cost estimating, cost account management and project planning. - Demonstrated full spectrum leadership
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Requirements: Requirements: - MUST HAVE SCI CLEARANCE TO BE CONSIDERED - Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. - Considered experienced, but still a learner. - Required skills Must be a U.S. citizen. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; current TS SCI. - Experience in performing mechanical/structural engineering analysis, mechanical design, design for manufacturing, integration and test, hydraulics, lifting devices, and winches. - Desired skills Experience or course work involving underwater vehicles (UUV, AUV, ROV), underwater systems and/or mechanical/ocean engineering. - Experience with ProE, AutoCAD, Matlab, and FEA (ANSYS) strongly desired. - Drug Test - Background Check
