- Standard Job Description Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Specific Job Description
- Systems Engineer for deep sea systems and vehicles.
- The SE will interact frequently with the customer to derive mission ConOps and requirements.
- Also responsible for developing and deriving requirements, documenting requirements specification, identifying requirements flowdown, design and architecture development and traceability, risk mitigation, RVTM, test planning activities, leading the SE team and being the overall Systems lead to ensure team performance across all disciplines.

-Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
- Considered an emerging authority.
- Required skills 10-15 years SE experience across full life cycle development, especially early ConOps and Req?s definition.
- Practical application and use of SE processes.
- Experience with DOORS required.
- Demonstrated SE leadership ability and experiences.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Customer interface experience.
- Desired skills Experience on deep sea programs.
- Experience with unmanned undersea vehicles.
- Experience with SysML, Rhapsody, Systems Architect.
