- Provide manufacturing expertise to solve difficult problems and continuously improve our manufacturing organization and/or supply base.
- Provides technical solutions
- Develops alternate manufacturing processes
- Initiates, justifies, implements new capital equipment purchases
- Creates cell layouts and process improvement initiatives
- Uses Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processes
- Reviews and approves design/detail of new designs for producibility
- Represents the company with our customers
- Routinely updates management on status of projects
- Leads a team on projects
- Supports the manufacturing floor for any process related questions
- Creates and maintains process documentation
- Implement engineering changes
- Process and update work order documentation
- Adhere to applicable Quality System requirements
- Design complex tools and fixturings
- Fully utilizes all applicable software

- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work with people
- Solid Six Sigma knowledge
- Project planning tools Advanced knowledge on database management software skills
- Complete understanding of applicable manufacturing processes
- Advanced understanding of Root Cause Analysis Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts - Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Strong computer skills
- Advanced programming knowledge of applicable software
- Experienced leadership
- Four year degree in technical/engineering discipline or other combinations of education, training, or experience to perform essential job functions.
- Previous manufacturing engineering or manufacturing specialist experience in the appropriate technologies/production environment.
