The ideal candidate will have the following CURRENT knowledge in:
* ANSI C,
* Unit Testing with DO-178B Level A criticality, "Software Verification Process" section!!!
* Assembly language
The above items are critical, in addition to these the pluses would be:
* some exposure to compilers and optimization
* Ada language
* Software that is automatically generated (also referred to as "auto-code"). We use a lot
of auto-generated software here, pictures-to-code, Matlab, etc.
* Open Source tools like GNU.
- All of the applicants seem to have C experience so that has not been an issue.
- Some of them put down Matlab on their resumes but then I either look at the
work experience or in a few cases conduct a phone interview, I discover that
they used Matlab to simply create the models but not to generate the code.
They end up writing the code by hand to the models.
- Some of the applicants have put down DO-178B and have no knowledge of this.
In the case of the email interview I conducted, he had knowledge but it appeared from
his resume as well as his answer that his experience was more in line with requirements
and we are looking for someone that has experience with the Software Verification Process
section.
Our testing efforts concentrate on structural coverage of the software

- Candidates should have a Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science or Electrical Engin
- Must be able to legally work in the U.S. Flight control software development and document generation, pictures-to-code(MatLab, MatrixX, autocode generation), Ada, ANSI C, C++, DO-178B knowledge, unit testing, scripting (PERL), embedded software development (PowerPC, Intel, Motorola), Unix, Linux OS, Windows.
- Candidate must have at least 7+ years experience.
- Have a BS degree.
- Drug Test
- Background Check
- US Citizenship or Green Card Holder
