Job Description:
- Preparation of process solutions, performance of cleaning, plating and coating removal trails as well as data collection and reporting
- Equipment includes plating apparatus, abrasive blasting equipment, polishing units, cut-off equipment, metallographs, microscopes, etc.
- Occasional use metal sectioning and polishing equipment will be necessary in the preparation of test specimens.
- Sample preparation including sectioning, polishing an abrasive blasting will be required

Experience Level:

Requirements:
- 2 - 5 years experience as a materials technician
- A.S. in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Proficiency with chemical handling, use and disposal
- Familiarity with chemical processing and metallographic equipment for assisting engineers with chemical process development is a must.
- Should posses the skills in the safe handling and use of chemicals in the formulation of cleaning, plating and coating removal solutions.
- Familiarity with routine laboratory glassware, balances and equipment are required.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good organization skills in managing materials and recording data
