Job Description: - Perform stress analysis in support of the design and development of engine maintenance tooling for both commercial and military family of engines including the Next Generation Product Family (NGPF) as well as the F135 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) - The analysis will assist in the development of tooling that is optimized for both strength and weight considerations - The analysis is to be conducted utilizing classical strength of materials hand calculations utilizing allowable stress criteria, in addition to Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) when required to substantiate the hand calculations - Prepare stress analysis reports in accordance with tool design manual standards to insure the safety of the item being designed - Check stress reports from outside vendors to insure accuracy and correct methodology and provide feedback to those suppliers - Provide engineering sizing calculations for the tool designers during initial tool design concept in order to eliminate the need for re-design and to optimize the tool for both strength and weight

Requirements: - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering, MS or advanced engineering degree a plus - Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in performing both classical and FEA stress analysis - Must have demonstrated team leadership skills, be able to organize and execute complex tasks, and communicate effectively in formal forums - Skills in MS Office are required - Drug screen - Background check - US citizen or green card holder
