Job Description:
A $3B Private Investment Firm based in Fort Worth, Texas is looking for an experienced MS Exchange Administrator.
Current Firm Structure is as follows:
* The firm has 400 gigabytes of mail data that grows by 50% per year
* The email policy is not to limit any mailboxes- email is the lifeblood of the firm and is the most critical enterprise application
* The firm expects 100% operability around the clock
* The firm?s Exchange architecture can service a 5,000-person firm, although it has about 200 users
* We replicate email in real time to a disaster recovery site. Email is the centerpiece of our disaster recovery plan and we test it extensively at least semi-annually
* Email must work flawlessly with Blackberry Enterprise Server (every person in the firm uses Blackberry extensively)
* Email is a critical component of all Trading/Investment Management software we use (we develop 90% of our software in-house)
* Mail data is stored on a SAN and the Exchange servers are on the fibre channel fabric
Job Duties will include:
* Managing the entire Exchange 2003 architecture
* Implement, monitor, maintain and document all production MS Exchange/Active Directory Servers
* Evaluate current mail architecture and identify appropriate changes
* Troubleshoot all mail flow and connectivity issues
* Troubleshoot Outlook issues; Administration of mailboxes and user accounts; creation of Public Folders
* Message tracking to resolve mail delivery issues
* Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot IronPort mail gateways
* Assist with management and configuration of Blackberry Enterprise Servers
* Manage and maintain SAN storage?EMC Clariion CX600 and upcoming migration to CX4-x
* Manage live mail replication on site and to our hotsite. Manage
* Update and execute disaster recovery procedures for semi-annual onsite and hotsite failovers including failback procedures.
* Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory on Windows 2003/2008
* Manage and maintain solutions for DNS, DHCP, Sybari Antivirus, and other applications
* Manage and implement X1 Technologies enterprise search platform
* Manage and implement VMWare ESX virtual server environment
* Monitor mail performance using MOM, MessageStats, and other tools
* Design and implement an effective email archiving process for all users
* Play a leadership role within the IT team in project planning, design and implementation of new services and applications for the IT infrastructure
* Rack, Install, and Build Server Hardware
* Interact directly with the firm?s partners on a broad range of mail system and other IT topics
Qualifications:
* A demonstrated level of expertise in all areas of Microsoft Exchange 2003/Active Directory (generally 3-5 yrs experience).
* Solid general server and network administration skills
* Excellent knowledge of Outlook and Windows desktop environment
* A demonstrated track record of business decision-making.
* At least a bachelors degree from a reputable college or university with a solid academic performance
* Ability to effectively research solutions to problems
* Able to start immediately
