Job Description:
Prominent SF Hedge Fund is looking for a Sr. Accountant to assist with the financial and tax reporting for a variety of entities.

You will participate in the monthly close of the Funds and or Management Company's GL, account reconciliations and documentation. Review of portfolio accountants broker reconciliation and preparation of internal financial statements.

Prepare and/or review complex partnership capital allocations and investor capital transactions in accordance with the related partnership agreement. Review investors monthly/quarterly summary investment reports prior to release and assist IR.

Calculate investment performance in accordance w/AIMR guidelines.

Participate in sidepocket investment accounting, including acquiring and understanding of the legal, economic and tax structure of diverse illiquid investments (sidepockets). This includes quarterly GL closings and detail review of quarterly valuations based on discounted cash flow models.

Assist in annual y/e audit and related financial statements as well as the annual tax workpapers for outside tax accountants and quarterly tax estimates.

SKILLS:

4 Yr degree required
CPA preferable
Experience working in public accounting or tax practice preferably in the Securities and/or real estate industries.
