Job Description: Head of Asset Allocation Research - Our Client a Prestigious Investment Management Firm
The Head of Asset Allocation Research is responsible for the firm?s global tactical asset allocation research and product development as well as conducting research on global fixed income and currency strategies. This position supervises a team of analysts responsible for the research and development of the firm?s global asset allocation strategies. This position involves not only the development of new products and strategies, but also the maintenance and improvement of the existing range of products. The Head of Asset Allocation Research in conjunction with the other research and investment staff will conduct and direct research and analysis to enhance the performance of our asset allocation products. The responsibilities also include disseminating and presenting the research results findings to the investment committee.
This position will also work closely with sales/client service staff to articulate our investment philosophy, process, strategy, and performance of products to clients, prospects, and consultants. The Head of Asset Allocation Research will be responsible for providing analytic support for the firm?s marketing and client service activities. This involves being able to produce intelligible written material as well as the ability to discuss the products with others in the firm or externally in an articulate manner.
60% Research to improve existing products with the goal of improving performance and risk control as well as development of new product and strategies.
30% Maintenance of existing strategies/products and working closely with portfolio management team to implement new research and model enhancements.
10% Support of the firm?s marketing and client service activities (presentations, white papers, marketing materials, etc)
Experience Level: Unspecified
Requirements: A minimum of 10 years experience in research, investment strategy or product development. The successful candidate must have a significant experience in asset allocation strategies. Experience in working with clients/prospects/consultants is a plus. An advanced academic degree in Finance/Economics is preferred.
