Job Description: Major financial services firm is seeking a seasoned project manager with strong securities operations knowledge for a 1-year or so assignment. Will not pay expenses (except for occasional required travel on the project), so best for locals.
This a business project managment role. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the brokerage industry, including an understanding of middle and back office operations functions. The successful candidate will: ? Assist in the overall management, coordination, analysis and support of integration activities ? Assist with developing comprehensive plans for integrating current processes and systems with new processes and systems resultant from integration efforts ? Provide project management oversight for early and ongoing transition items ? Assist with managing deliverables, issues and tasks
The PM will be responsible for managing activities associated with merger related efforts that are typically longer-term, multiple-department or organizational entity-wide and moderate in risk, scope and complexity.
The PM will consult with business partners to clarify and define project requirements and business issues, helping to bring issues to resolution. Develops and revises complex project plans, works with users to understand complex problems and focuses on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines. Interacts and negotiates with mid to senior level management on behalf of project team. Develops and implements complex project communication plans. Creates and delivers presentations to mid-senior level management on project goals and plans, including progress reports. May manage a group of projects associated with a specific business function.
The PM will be responsible for end-to-end project/program management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end. Some travel will be required.
