Job Description: Our client is a world leader in the Security Industry. They are in need of a Sales Engineer for their Knoxville, TN location.
They provide security solutions to borders, ports and,containers by developing imaging systems,liscense plate readers and other security brands. The candidate will need to be able to travel extensively to assist the sales team in implementation of the product and expanding the customer base.
3 Critical Hiring Factors:
1. 4 yr, Degree in Engineering,Electrical preferred.
2. 4-6 yrs. of technical experience in business development.
3. Excellent Communication and Written Skills to be able to interpret cusotmers needs and offer solutions using our Client`s full range of products.
The Sales Engineer will assist in the development of products and new customers by working closely with the Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Product Engineering.
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
` Support sales efforts technically to generate new business in a highly technical market ` Possess detailed expertise of the full range of products and product pricing ` Assess potential application of company products and offer solutions that meet customer needs ` Communicate customer feedback into future product developments ` Provide technical demonstrations of all product lines and use technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build sales ` Respond to technical issues and coordinate and oversee resolution of problems ` Prepare proposals for turnkey image processing systems and products
Experience Level: 3 Years
Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree in the field of Engineering; Electrical Engineering preferred. Must have 4-6 years of experience in the technical field and/or area of business development. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills. Some domestic and international travel required.
