Required Skills
1. Thorough understanding of web form development, examples include the following:
a. Experience developing web forms and responding to page events appropriately
b. Experience developing user controls (*.ascx)
c. Solid understanding of form validation
d. Understanding of Master pages
2. Thorough understanding of object orientated development, examples include the following:
a. Ability to identify programming elements that should be encapsulated into reusable objects
b. Ability to design and develop reusable objects and utility classes
3. Ability to develop efficient data access code
a. Thorough understanding of data access classes
b. Experience calling stored procedures
i. Including the ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures
4. Thorough understanding of .Net programming including the proper use of the following:
a. Collections / Generic collections
b. Exception handling
c. Memory usage / memory management
d. Class inheritance
5. Ability to efficiently debug application logic
6. Ability to write requirements documentation and test plans
7. Previous experience with source control products
8. Understanding of basic CSS and client side JavaScript
9. Basic understanding of IIS configuration and security
Beneficial Skills
1. Experience working with web services
2. SharePoint development experience
a. Developing SharePoint web parts and/or customer workflows
b. Developing against the SharePoint object model
3. Previous experience implementing AJAX based controls
4. Previous experience working with SQL Reporting Services
5. .Net Runtime performance tuning
6. Experience writing .Net providers
7. Basic SQL Server administration experience
