Job Description:
Senior Technical Writer
Candidate will work with a project leader to plan, create, and edit information products (user manuals, reference manuals, online help, tutorials, service notes, etc.) for a variety of hardware and software products. Responsibilities include following ISO processes for writing plans, conducting research, gathering engineering information, and writing and preparing end-user documents for publication.

Requirements:
B.A./B.S. degree, or equivalent educational certificate. Degree in Technical Writing preferred. Minimum of five years experience researching and writing end-user documentation for a highly technical audience. Technical writing experience must be predominately hardware oriented. Knowledge of video basics and video broadcast industry preferred. Candidate must have in-depth user knowledge of FrameMaker, Illustrator, Microsoft Windows and Word, and Macintosh OS X. Other required skills: Graphics editing, Acrobat PDF document preparation, hardware illustration, preparation of electronic files for hardcopy document production.
Candidate must posses strong technical, communication, and research skills to create informative and useful information products for customers in the professional broadcast, movie, and pro-AV industries whose work involves the creation, editing, and broadcasting of video products such as movies, news programs, and commercials. Work in a team environment that supports development of partnerships with marketing, engineering, service, training, and technical support. Establish and maintain good rapport with those departments. Must be flexible, learning-oriented, and self-motivated. Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment; support, accept, and participate in group decisions.
Must have experience writing technical documentation for a Hardware environment, preferably routing and switching.
Broadcast experience is a plus
