Job Description:
This position located in Keene, NH has the primary purpose of the Principal Financial Analyst position is to support the financial activities of the Aerospace Group. This Group includes the business front ends of Aerospace & Defense and Health & Positioning & Control and direct entities under the Aerospace Group. Reports to Controller Aerospace & Defense and provides key financial support across the segment. This role requires strong financial, systems and analytical skills.Key responsibilities are:
Building financial plan, forecasts and reporting of results.
Developing economic analysis and decision-making across the group.
Execute the effort to create accurate, timely and effective processes and systems to provide financial analysis required to support varying needs.
Accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial statements, including adherence to US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley. Support external financial reporting requirements, including earnings press releases, Government (Defense) accounting (CAS), SEC reporting and support for interaction with the investment community.
Development of reporting mechanisms that support varying internal needs, including entity reporting (location management, tax), front end (general managers, business president, external segments) and projects.
Coordination of financial systems within Aerospace segment, including Hyperion Planning, Data Warehouses and other applications.
Create annual operating plan and forecast consistent with strategic objectives. Lead variance analyses versus plan, forecast and prior year.
Develop tools to enhance forecast accuracy, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance with 5 to 10 years experience
5-10 years experience in a financial analyst role
Preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles
Experience with general ledger systems, consolidations (Hyperion Enterprise), multi-dimensional databases (Hyperion Planning) and Data Warehouses.
Desired:
Master's degree: Business, Accounting or Finance
CPA or CMA designation
