Job Description:
Are you a senior-level VMware consultant with EMC storage experience? This could be the job for you! Our client is seeking senior level VMware consultant to install, configure and support VMware VI3 environments. Candidate must provide the highest level VMware technical expertise and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Strong working knowledge designing and implementing VMware ESX 2.X, Virtual Center, and ESX 3.X solutions
- Experience with EMC SAN Solutions
- Experience with SAN technologies including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NAS
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure including vlan configuration.
- Strong experience with planning and upgrading VMware 2.X environments to 3.X - Experience designing and implementing VMware Lab Manager solutions.
- Experience designing and implementing VMware VDI solutions.
- Knowledge of application and desktop virtualization, including terminal services and Citrix.
- Experience working with VMware vmfs2 and vmfs3 files systems.
- Experience with setting up and configuring VMotion, DRS, and HA
- Experience implementing VMware VCB with various backup solutions, including Legato NetWorker, and Veritas backup software.
- Experience using VMware P2v and VMware converter to virtualize Windows NT, 2000, and 2003 environments.
- Expertise with Linux configuration and command line syntax.
- Firm understanding of Microsoft Windows NT, 2000, and 2003 server operating system.
- Firm understanding of configuring Active Directory including Group Policies
- Ensure customer?s needs are being met in a timely manner

- Microsoft MCSE desired
- Cisco CCNA desired
- Knowledge of the IT industry and how businesses leverage technology
- Technical Knowledge of Networking, IT infrastructure Servers, desktop and operation systems
- College degree or equivalent work experience
