Reference Number: 08-128899 Job Description: Wouldn't it be nice to find a "home"? This established plaza location is hiring for an Underwriter to support the Mortgage Department. Job duties include: * Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, approving and underwriting * Reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and ratios (debt ratios, loan to value) * Look over documents to ensure accuracy and completeness * Prepare reports for review * Assist in re-negotiations of loans * Contact customers and partners to gather information to make appropriate decisions * Explain rationale behind credit decision Qualifications: * Must have 3 years underwriting experience in the mortgage field * Must have excellent oral and written communication skills * Must be proficient with MS Word and MS Excel * Candidates must have a history of good credit because a credit check is required (no bankruptcies or repossessions).
