Job Description:
Our Client currently has an opening for a Benefit Asset Manager

Primary Purpose of the Position:
This position is a part of the Global Benefit Financing, Treasury Accounting area, in which we:

Account for 40 US benefits plans
Oversee the investment of over $6 billion of worldwide pension assets to fulfill corporate fiduciary role
Manage accounting and disclosure for 70 pension and retiree medical plans worldwide
Support portfolio and restructuring actions
Support development of strategies to address legacy costs
Manage treasury accounting and controls environment
Maintain accounting records for benefit plans
Manage Treasury SOX compliance

Requirements:
Qualifications:
Required-
Bachelor or higher level degree in Business with major in Accounting or Finance
CFA designation
Minimum 5 years experience in accounting or finance or MBA with concentration in Accounting/Finance
Solid understanding and working knowledge of ERISA, IRS and DOL regulations on employee benefit assets
Working knowledge of pension actuarial sciences
Demonstrated success in leading team projects
Must maintain confidentiality and strict adherence to Client?s Business Conduct Manual as this position interacts with various levels of management on highly confidential studies
Must conduct business of pension asset management with strong fiduciary standards
Excellent communication skills including effective presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure, adjust to changing priorities, and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Skills in improving processes and procedures, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to financial issues, while ensuring compliance with all Corporate policies and procedures
Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines
Timely completion of ad hoc analyses with an appropriate level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong institutional investment management understanding
Capability to interact with all organization levels; ranging from entry level associates to Client?s Senior Leadership Management Team
Prior supervisory experience and the ability to display interest, skill, and success in getting subordinates to learn and work together within a team focused work environment
Strong analytical and data management skills; must exhibit the ability to interpret complex/conflicting data and identify problems by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach, anticipating the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies

Preferred-
MBA with concentration in Accounting/Finance
