Job Description:
Primary Purpose of the Position:
This position is in our Integration and Projects department and is responsible for the creation and maintenance of Material Master Data within SAP. The position will be a primary point of contact for business and IT for SAP interconnectivity between various modules, and troubleshooting for production issues.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Material master creation, maintenance as required for new products, sales promotions, discontinuations & follow up to insure ability to enter on orders.
Ensure that key master data is released in a timely and correct manner as to not populate dependent documents with incorrect/invalid information.
Responsible for documenting master data model with data relationships and inter-dependencies
Supports business functional managers and designated data owners to define the appropriate responsibilities, business rules, and field values pertaining to the setup of master data
Aid in the development of standardized policies and procedures for the creation and maintenance of data entities required for the effective operation of SAP.
Establish and maintain certain elements of configuration to support material creation within the SAP landscape.
Plan, participate, and drive initiatives surrounding the updating of master data in SAP. Leverage knowledge of current data setup and recommend/execute an updating strategy.
Actively participate in various departmental initiatives related to data cleanup and maintenance.

Required-
B.S. or B.A. or higher level degree in a Business related curriculum or Computer Science. Equivalent work experience will be considered. (Equivalent work experience is a minimum of 10 years in a related field.)
Minimum 4 years of experience implementing SAP Material Management.
Ability to understand business processes and provide insight to best practices
Proven skills as a team member, team lead, or Project Manager on at least one full cycle implementation.
Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team
A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
