Job Description: Department Description: This position is in the SAP Basis support team. The SAP Basis team is responsible for the planning, configuration and on-going support of the mission-critical SAP systems. Members of the team work closely with members of the Operating Systems team, the Database Administration team, and with our customers to assure 24x7 system availability.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supports multiple production SAP instances and related applications of complex nature with little support or assistance. May be involved with support of Enterprise-wide, mission-critical applications (i.e. Bolt-ons).
2. Will be involved with the planning, installation, implementation and configuration of SAP Basis and related components. Will be responsible for creation of procedures to support 24*7 availability requirements
3. Will be required to participate in 24*7 on call support of SAP Basis and/or bolt-ons. 4. Performs troubleshooting of intermediate to complex problems with unknown causes and recommends actions.
5. May participate in the analysis and design function for new and existing systems, writing of proposals and pricing of projects.
6. Works closely with the operating system and database administrative personnel to ensure space requirements, backup procedures and performance needs are being met.
7. May participate in the design or revision of technical standards, data standards and integration with other applications and components.
8. May have responsibility for several complex components of a complex project. May also provide direction for projects of a complex nature
9. Plan, test and implement application patches. May be responsible for coordination of a maintenance project across functional areas and departments
10. Responsible to monitor and analyze performance, capacity and throughput of critical applications or middleware components.
Qualifications: Required-
? Bachelor's or higher level degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent technical work experience is required.(Equivalent work experience must include: 5 or more years information technology experience or a minimum of 3 years experience in application and/or middleware administration.
? A minimum of 1 year of SAP Basis support experience.

Requirements: EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology. ?Good understanding of SAP Basis support responsibilities. ?Good understanding of operating systems, client/server architectures and standards. Advanced knowledge of several currently used applications or middleware components. ?Good understanding of how applications connect and communicate with other systems. ?Basic understanding of business processes. ?Basic understanding of networking technology and protocols. ?Good organizational, communication and project skills. ?Strong troubleshooting skills.
Preferred-
? A Minimum of 3 years experience in application and/or middleware administration.
